Proving once again why you should never, ever speak in front of a textureless monochrome background. (via Ezra Klein)

Nacho Rodriguez, whose Mr. Coo series was featured before , has a Mr. Coo game out — well, it’s sort of a game, but it’s more like an interactive comic. Check it out. I love the way the frames move. It’s in Spanish, but very sparingly.

A comedic guide to life by pseudonymous Winston Rowntree with anthropomorphic animals. I wish someone had given this to me as a kid. I could have handled it.

Cory Doctorow’s new short story, "The Things that Make Me Weak and Strange Get Engineered Away," is available on Tor as a free read. This one’s about a monastical organization for geeks, something of a cross between academia and the Googleplex. It’s Tor.com’s first Creative Commons-licensed story, so be sure to translate it into Swahili or at least tell them how much you appreciate them not locking down your media. The cool image associated with it is by Red Nose Studio. And if you’re too lazy to read, the audio link below is a podcast of Cory reading it to you. Full service!

David Rees’s brilliant comic brought to life by Jon Glaser. Awesome. Best thing on 23/6 by far.

This isn’t the kind of thing we normally have here, but this speed run of levelHead, an augmented-reality spatial memory game, which was captured with desktop screencap software and as such seems a bit like stop motion, is so cool it’s practically art. (Also, it’s a spoiler. I know, you are so bummed, you wanted to figure out the green cube yourself. tough toodles, crybaby.)

This is a spectacular, dark experimental short film made in Flash by Danish animator FoXcatO. The music it’s cut to is a pleasing shoegazy track by Mew. I particularly like it when the bunnies at the tea party vomit bile.

KC reminded me of this cute surreal stop-motion by PES. Think Jan Svankmajer as a child.

For my money, there is simply nothing better, in any medium, than the Muppets.
