Imagine that every atrocity committed by the United States in the 21st Century had its own souvenir! Oh my, what a family discussion we could have. Luckily, Philip Toledano has already taken the liberty.
And if you like to take liberty, why not buy your own Abu Ghraib coffee table? Great for covert operatives of all ages.

David Rees’s brilliant comic brought to life by Jon Glaser. Awesome. Best thing on 23/6 by far.

Strictly speaking, this game is not fun, nor is it original in design. In fact, it is a straight rip of Space Invaders. And as it is meant to promote John McCain, I suppose it is not satire. But there’s just so much that is hilarious about a game where a "McCain" logo shoots the word "veto" at a block formation of ear-marked Pigs that I had to post it. The metaphor makes no sense — wouldn’t the pigs be hidden in Politically Difficult to Dodge Bills? — but the sad thing is that this is the McCain campaign’s attempt to be "cutting-edge" and appeal to the youth — Obama’s got a social network, and McCain responds with a rip-off of Space Invaders, a game that is older than the voters it’s supposed to woo.

An ever worsening situation in Iraq. More terrorist attacks on American soil. President John McCain. While it’s now about two years old, "Shooting War" remains timely. Eleven chapters (all of Part One) are available in this web release.

Sandow Birke , the artist who recently got in trouble for his mural in Boyle Heights , recently finished a series of 15 woodcut prints called "The Depravities of War."
It’s the modern version of 17th century etcher Jacque’s Callot’s etchings "The Miseries of War " about the Thirty Years War. Callot also inspired Goya’s "Disasters of War," though Callot and Birke’s work is more comedic.

For those who may not know, Richard Dawkins is the most notorious of the "New Atheists." As an actual fan of his science books (Selfish Gene, The Blind Watchmaker) I can’t resist posting this video.
I couldn’t find any information about the creators of this video other than the name "randomslice. " However, I did find Dawkins’s somewhat cranky response, which amused me.
